It was a Metallica song from the album of the same name, although Dream Theatre have covered it. Both amazing bands with some great songwriting.

It is a Metallica song cover by Dream Theater. DT did cover some other Metallica songs as well. In was Chicago 2002 I believe and I think they did it in Spain too. Both happen to be my favorite bands. See them both live and they are amazing. Metallica in San Francisco and DT in Hollywood and Singapore.

Kidding. Actually, yes, "Master Of Puppets" is by Metallica, but it has been covered numerous times by a wide variety of musical groups and performers. It's been remixed, and sampled a bunch, too. It's a pretty popular song. No matter where you live in this day and age, at some time during the day on your local rock station, you are bound to hear it played during their "Mandatory Metallica" segment...
What I find far more interesting, is the fact that not many people realize Metallica covered the songs "Breadfan," and "Crash Course In Brain Surgery," which were both originally performed by the semi-obscure seventies space-rock band Budgie... =)
