As far as ON the STRIP - there is a movie there (United Artists) right next to the M%26amp;M World store (adjacent to MGM GRAND). The theatre usually shows all the popular movies and is pretty big.
The best theatre on or near the strip is the big Brenden Theatre inside the PALMS casino. This probably has the best sound and picture quality of any theatre in Vegas. Plus its fun because its in doors and there is a casino, the best clubs, and a slew of bars that you can head to afterwards.

Brendan theatres at the Palms is the best. A little more pricey mostky because its in the palms but has everything your looking for. If you know your way off the strip Regal Village Square on Saharah and Ft apache (not affiliated with a casino)
